The head of the department noted that investments in the industry have increased by more than one and a half times, reaching almost 2 trillion tenge. And over 11 months, the total volume of cargo transportation through the country amounted to 895 million tons, which is almost 4% more than last year’s figure. The share of transit also increased by 21%. Great achievements have also been made in the road sector. This year, more than 10 thousand kilometers of roads have been repaired.

Our main efforts were aimed at accelerating long-term construction projects that were 4-5 years old. As a result, travel on such projects is ensured, that is, on roads from Taldykorgan to Ust-Kamenogorsk, from Karaganda to Almaty, and from Aktobe through Kandyagash-Atyrau to Astrakhan. According to these projects, a total length of 856 kilometers and travel of 1000 kilometers are provided. All transitional projects will be put into operation in 2024, and the construction of new projects with a total length of 4,700 kilometers that will connect regional centers will begin in stages.
Particular attention was paid to increasing transport cargo flows. Based on the results of 11 months, the volume of transit traffic increased by 19%. Work continues to improve the infrastructure. In the field of railway transport, the implementation of several large megaprojects has also begun. In the next 3 years, more than thousands of kilometers of new railways will be built in the republic.

Construction of a terminal has begun in the port of Poti, which will increase the potential of the trans-Caspian international transport route. This year, 2 million 757 thousand tons of cargo were transported along this route, which is an increase of 64%. Oil was transported along the TMTM corridor for the first time this year. Also this year, a grain terminal was launched in the port of Kuryk. In the field of aviation, a culture of using air transport is actively being formed. This is confirmed by the increase in passenger traffic this year by 23%.
