TWO OLYMPIC LICENSES WON KAZAKHSTANIANS
At the Asian licensed shooting championship taking place in Jakarta (Indonesia), Kazakhstanis Alexandra Le and Nikita Chiryukin won licenses to participate in the Olympic Games in Paris.
In the final of the competition at a distance of 50 meters (air rifle), Alexandra Le took seventh place, this result was enough to receive an Olympic quota.
Nikita Chiryukin entered the finals of the rapid fire pistol competition as number one, with a score of 584, also taking an Olympic license. At the decisive stage, the Kazakhstani will fight for a medal at the continental championship.
Thus, domestic bullet athletes already have five Olympic licenses: Islam Satpayev, Arina Altukhova and Konstantin Malinovsky previously won the right to compete at the main competitions of the four years.
The licensed Asian championship in bullet shooting takes place from January 5 to 18, with more than 400 athletes from 29 countries taking part in the competition.
