Kairat Torebayev, Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan: Ma Xingrui proposed using XUAR as a bridge between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong for trade, investment, and science. The creation of a fund to finance joint projects in Kazakhstan, XUAR, and Hong Kong is being considered.
Promising areas:
- Industrial cooperation: Establishment of joint ventures in Kazakhstan with the participation of capital from Hong Kong, especially in the field of deep processing of agricultural products.
- Export of Kazakh goods: to Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, and the Greater Bay Area.
- Finance and technology: Cooperation with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and development of the Digital Silk Road initiative.

Kazakhstan, XUAR, and Hong Kong have unique advantages that can complement each other. Kazakhstan is a strategic transportation hub, XUAR is the industrial heart of the region, and Hong Kong is a global financial center. Combining these potentials can create a model of cooperation that will take us to a new level.

• Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China in 2023 amounted to $31.5 billion (+30%).
• Trade between Kazakhstan and Hong Kong increased by 45.7% over the year, reaching $75.4 million.
These figures demonstrate the enormous prospects that are opening up for our countries.
