“China is one of the priority tourist markets and a partner for Kazakhstan. This is due to the geographical location of the two countries and deep historical ties along the Silk Road,” Ermek Marzhikpaev.

The Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan Ermek Marzhikpayev and the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China Sun Yeli discussed plans to hold the Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China and issues of mutual cooperation in the field of tourism.

During the official meeting, the Minister of Kazakhstan proposed the concept of holding a number of important events in major cities of China. The official opening ceremony of the Year of Kazakhstan Tourism in China is scheduled for the end of March. In total, more than 25 different events will be held.
The year of Kazakhstan tourism will be held under the slogan “Kazakhstan belt and road destination”.

At the end of the meeting, Ermek Marzhikpayev invited Mr. Sun Yeli to the V World Nomad Games, which will take place this fall in Kazakhstan.
